A New Decade Begins

We were totally boring for NYE this year.  We were still recovering from our trip.  And as always for NYE, we can never decide what to do.  When we're invited to various parties, and we have to choose between friends, we always end up saying we'll just celebrate the two of us.  Besides the fact that we're just not huge NYE people.  I think it's overrated.

So instead, we planned on going and getting some stuff at Whole Foods during the day.  Then we came home, and made a gourmet feast.  We popped champagne, turned on some relaxing music and had appetizers and then homemade seafood stew.  It was delicious.  Afterwards, we watched the NYE shows on TV, and I fell asleep on the couch at....10:15.  I am such a loser.  Ian woke me at 11:45 with some champagne.  We watched the ball drop, kissed and then headed to bed afterwards.  It was just perfect.  Spending NYE with the man I am totally in love with, eating yummy food, and being in my comfy sweats - nothing better than that.

Overall, the past 10 years had a lot happen.  Some of those memories are happy, and some are sad.  I'll list the highlights:
  • I graduated high school in 2001
  • I started college and met some of my best friends
  • I studied abroad in Spain
  • I met a cute boy in a bar and we started a relationship that would take us to getting married 3 years later
  • I graduated college
  • I started my first job - which was an amazing experience for 3 years
  • I moved out of my parents house to live on my own for the first time
  • I got engaged
  • I got married
  • We moved to Baltimore
  • I started law school
I cannot wait to see what the next 10 years hold for us.  But I do know we have lots of hopes and dreams that we hope become a reality in the near future!

  1. I can't even begin to think about the last 10 years! I'm still trying to process the fact that a decade has gone by. :-)
