12 Days

It seems appropriate that we're in the holiday season, and like people count 12 days before Christmas, we are counting 12 days to something very different.

In exactly 12 days, Luca will get an early Christmas present: a new liver from her Daddy!

Hang with us as we go through a roller coaster ride of emotions.  We're both relieved that a date is set, excited for Luca, and as nervous and anxious as we've ever been in our lives (which says a lot for me considering my anxiety problems).

So what do the next 12 days entail for us?

Well for starters, keeping both my loves healthy!  That means no visitors except immediate family.  It means cooking good nutritious meals for Ian.  It means no skipping a day of vitamins for either of them.

It means getting a Christmas tree ASAP so we can enjoy it for over a week.

It means getting into the Christmas spirit overnight since L will be hospitalized for the big day.

It means getting lots of stuff organized: the house, bills, Ian's time off from work, housing arrangements in DC, arrangements for Tessa, money.

It means my two bestests are coming into town to be with me while my two loves are being operated on.

It means I MUST write the long list of Thank you Notes before their surgeries because I know we'll have a new long list after their surgeries.

Lots to get done...12 days to do it....anddddd GO!
