25 Weeks

Well - food stayed down comfortably yesterday.  I was super scared to eat which means I ended up eating very little.  I was cautious, making sure to chew my food well, drinking plenty of water to make sure it went down, and took Zantac every 12 hours to keep the acid away.  So far, so good (thank goodness!!).

Otherwise, I'm still feeling great!  My feet get just slightly swollen on some nights.  Although I'm thinking the weather has something to do with it - it's been beautiful and very warm, and add into that that our A/C is not working, it makes for a very warm house.

With how much this belly is growing, I've been lotioning up everyday to keep my skin hydrated.  Baby girl is growing very rapidly now.  She's graduated from a papaya to an eggplant, and weighs about 1.5 lbs.  Any day now, Ian can put his ear to my belly and hear her heartbeat (he tried it a few days ago with no luck).  Also this week, her vocal cords are officially working so that she may begin having hiccups soon.

Her crib will be delivered tomorrow which means Ian will be excited for the weekend to get here so he can put it together!  Still trying to stick to our goal of being completely ready for her arrival by the time I'm 35 weeks.  That gives us just 10 weeks to get ready.

Now, back to sitting and sweating on the couch (the house is currrently 82 degrees).

And this week's pictures aren't the best because I forgot to have Ian take them before he left.

  1. Good job lotioning up sister, even if you don't feel dry do it anyway. I lather up at least three times a day and I think its helped tremendously, only 1 teeny tiny stretch mark where my belly button ring used to be. 35 weeks will be here before you know it, it is insane how fast it goes, that is next week for me! YIKES!
